On 21/07/19 Terry Midgley’s Interclub Handicap Race will take place. This is a unique event which aims to bring Crossgates Harriers and St Teresa’s together to celebrate Terrys amazing running achievements.

Race starts 10am. Registration and number collection from 9am at John Smeaton Leisure Centre main gates, Smeaton Approach LS158TA Please park on Smeaton Approach. Do not park in the Leisure Centre car park.

Car share or walk to the start if possible. Please take care when waiting for the race to start – Smeaton Approach can be a busy road so keep on the path or congregate on the grass banking opposite the start point.

Can I request that you do not wear club vests.

We are all Team Terry for this one day. Please bring safety pins.

We do not have use of the Leisure Centre facilities.

This is a 4mile handicap loop. The course is undulating and mainly off road. Start and finish points are at John Smeaton Leisure Centre main gates.

This is an individual and team handicap race which aims to bring Terrys two clubs (Crossgates Harriers & STAC) together. Each team will have 7 runners of varying pace. There will be 14 teams. The first team to get 5/7 runners back wins. So please cheer your team in and support each other.

Terry will be setting you all off in your time orders. Keep listening for your number to be called and get into position quickly.

There will be marshals on the course and a lead cyclist to ensure no body gets lost.

Water will be provided at the finish. There is a trophy for 1st, 2nd and 3rd position plus a trophy for the first team back. There will be ‘goody bags’ and a medal for every runner. Presentation of the trophies will take place at the end of the race.
